End of Regular Season Tournaments

All Divisions will have a post regular season tournament to compete for the District 28 title.

Regular Season Team Rostering Principles and Procedures

The KAU 90 foot division conducts player evaluations in April.  The ratings from those evaluations determine the player pool from which to form teams.  There is no draft by the manager pool, rather players are placed on a team based on a collaboration between the managers and the evaluators.  Generally, players are placed on teams based on ratings and specific pitching and catcher skills to ensure each team has a balanced roster.

Selection of Regular Season Managers

Anyone interested in managing or coaching during the 2012 Regular Season should indicate as such when registering their player.  They should also directly contact the 90 foot Division VP no later than February 28th.  Appointments will be made based on need per Division, tenure, skill and experience in past coaching.

All-Star Teams and Tournaments
There are post season All-Star tournaments as follows.  One team from KAU will participate in each tournament, subject to player / coach interest, and sufficient participation by other leagues at the 13 year old division.  Note that International Tournaments are Little League International based tournament that lead up to a World Series similar to that in Williamsport PA at the 60 foot level. The levels of play include District, Sectional, State, Regional, National, and International, with the winner of each level advancing.

13 Year Old Regester Tournament - open to the appointed team of 13 year olds.  This is a double elimination tournament played among other leagues in PA District 28. It does not extend beyond District play.

Jr International Tournament -  KAU will form a team of top skilled 13 and 14 year old players.

Sr International Tournament -  KAU will form a team of top skilled 15 and 16 year old players.

Big League International Tournament -  This is a District based team selected based on try-out performance from 16 through 18 year old players who participated in Big League throughout all Leagues in PA District 28.

Players are selected to a Regester, Junior International, and Senior International All-Star team based on collaboration of the regular season managers and KAU 90 foot Division commissioner and president.  Its largely based on regular season performance and providing an adequate number of pitchers and catchers. The number of players per team is determined by the appointed manager, a minimum of 11, maximum of 15.

Game Locations
All games are played throughout District 28 fields, and each team will have home (KAU Senior Field or Kennett HS) and away games.  Games can be any day of the week, and if at a field with lights can start at 6:00 or 8:30 PM.  Double headers are allowed, more predominant at Big League.

ay be opportunities for the KAU Knights to play in tournaments during the Spring and Summer. An additional fee of approximately $100 per player is required to participate on a KAU Knights team.

Umpires

All games will have District 28 paid umpires.
