• Batting Rating:

  1. Is considered at the top of the league in terms of batting skill. Excellent mechanics, hand/eye coordination, judgement on balls & strikes - Hits w/ authority
  2. Is consider a top tier hitter, Good mechanics, hand/eye coordination and ball/strike judgement - rarely strikes out / good ball contact
  3. Considered average hitter in the league, Mechanics & hand/eye coordination -occasional strike-out: generally a ground ball hitter
  4. Considered below average hitter in the league, Mechanics need some development -strikes-out often but with aggressive attitude at the plate
  5. Requiring significant development and growth
   

• Throwing Rating:

  1. Is considered at the top of the league in terms of arm strength and accuracy. Excellent mechanics - Throws w/ authority (e.g. 3rd to 1st w/ strength & accuracy)
  2. Is considered to have a top tier arm, Good mechanics & athletisim, accuracy not as consistent as the above
  3. Considered average thrower in the league, Mechanics & arm strength average (e.g. 3rd to 1st w/ a one hop, 50/50 accuracy)
  4. Considered below average in arm strength, Mechanics need some development
  5. Requiring significant development and growth
   

• Fielding Rating:

  1. Is considered at the top of the league in cleanly fielding grounders, short hops, and catching fly balls either stationary or on the run.
  2. Top tier fielder. Aggressively pursues ball and may make an occasional error or dropped ball.
  3. Considered average fielding for both grounders & catching fly balls.
  4. Considered below average.  Will usually get glove on ball to knock it down, but not aggressively attacking ball.
  5. Requiring significant development and growth
   

• Pitcher Potential:

  1. Is considered to be in the top tier related to other pitchers (not just other players).  Consistently throws strikes and has good mechanics
  2. Player has the natural potential to pitch  - Good arm strength and throws more strikes. Opposing players get occasional hits or walks.
  3. Average pitcher.  Medium accuracy and medium arm strength.  Averages the same amount of balls vs. strikeouts/hits.
  4. Lower tier pitcher.  Good arm strength in field, but not realized while on the mound.  More walks than strikeouts/hits.
  5. No: Potential is not apparent or recognized at this time. Major development would be required
