KAU is open to players who reside in or attend public or private school in Unionville-Chadds Ford and Kennett Consolidated School Districts. Starting with the 2026 season, children League Age 4-7 will have the ability to register and play for any local Little League program they choose, without respect to any geography or school-related eligibility requirements.

We rely on a player's "league age" for determination of division age ranges. Please refer to the 2026 Little League Baseball Age Chart to determine your child's league age.

Tee Ball Rookies:  This division is a great introduction to the game of baseball! This division is for players "league age" 4, and also first-year 5 year-olds new to the game. Please note, players must turn 4 years old by April 1, 2026. This division will only play on Saturday for 1 hour, where the event time will be split to allow for both instruction and game play. Each team will have a coach but parent(s) are required to participate. 

Tee Ball Minors: Division is for players "league age" 5 and first-year 6 year-olds new to the game. Players will participate in two events per week. During the season there will typically be one game during the weekend, and either a practice or game during the week.

KAU Farm Division: Division is for players "league age" 6, and first year 7 year olds if they are not ready for live pitching. This is a machine and/or coach pitch division, where a tee may also be used for players after 5 swings-and-misses. Games are played on 46'/60' field dimensions.  

KAU Rookies: For players "league age" 7-8, this is kid/coach pitch division and played on 46'/60' field dimensions. The pitching distance will be adjusted to accommodate different player ability in order to introduce them to the fundamentals of pitching. If four balls are thrown to a batter, a coach will step in and throw to the batter. Game format may be adjusted to allow for 2-3 innings of kid pitch, followed by 1-2 innings of coach pitch, to ensure adequate hitting opportunity and to keep the ball in play more frequently. 

KAU Minors: For players "league age" 9-10 this is a full kid pitch division played on 46'/60' field dimensions.

KAU Intermediate: For players "league age" 11-13. This is a full kid pitch division played on 50'/70' field dimensions. 

KAU Juniors: For players "league age" 13-14. This is a full kid pitch division played on 60'/90' field dimensions.

KAU reserves the right to alter division structures based on registration numbers and skill level. Divisions will be created to ensure the best playing experience for each participant and to create fair and balanced teams. 

REFUND POLICY: Upon registering your child for KAU Little League, you have committed your child for the season. No refunds will be provided after uniforms are purchased. At the discretion of the Board, exceptions may be granted for medical or relocation accommodations.
